Power Vessel Inspection

Inspecting vessels 25’ to approximately 75’

Local area includes Port Canaveral, Melbourne, Palm Bay, Sebastian, Vero Beach, Ft Pierce, Port St Lucie, and Stuart however survey’s are frequently conducted anywhere in Florida, Gulf Coast, Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean

Sailing Vessel Inspection

Surveys of vessels from 25’ to 70’ following the SAMS Recommended Survey Format including over 100 distinct inspection points including:

Boom, mast step, mast and standing rigging at deck level, visible and accessible portions of chain plates, blocks, deck hardware, sailing winches, running rigging (deck level). Sails on board. Decks and hull above and below water line. Windlass & anchoring gear, Dodger, Bimini and awnings.  Shore power systems, Batteries and DC systems and controls, Navigation instruments and running lights. Bilge pumps and accessible portions of fresh water plumbing, tanks and waste systems.  Interior fits and finishes, galley and cooking equipment. Steering systems. Engine & propulsion gear.


Damage Claims, Damage Inspection

Past Assignments Have Included Electrical Fires, Sinking's, Collisions, Rigging Failures and Lightning Damage. Additionally We Have Provided Detailed Review of Major Repair Estimates and Invoices Identifying Duplicate or Unnecessary Charges, and Review and Comment on Logistical Issues With Claims in the South Pacific.

Marina Inspection

Inspecting hazards to patrons, construction issues, locating sources of current in electrical ground system, suitability for use and vessel size, and impact or storm damage.

Applicable codes include but are not limited to: NFPA 303
